As part of this new solution and standard there will be a new DNS Record Type that we will get incorporated into Global DNS Servers and systems called an ASN record. This record will keep the IP Address and ASN number in this record. There will also be an asn threat detection protocol that will do a reverse asn lookup for traffic traversing this intrusion detection and Protection Virtual Appliance. It will quickly retrace the asn routing path and look for numbers that don't align. Every ASN number that sends a packet into global internet routing networks will automatically register in the Virtual Appliance registry when the traffic traverses the virtual appliance. Once an anomaly is detected and the threat is identified the connected source asn will be validated then compared. If the numbers that are registered dont match then the connection is dropped. All packets that have ASN that don't match also get registered into the built in registry as detected threats and will immediate drop a packet from the networks edge if the IP Spoofer attempts to connect through another IP originating from the same ASN Number. Automated mitigation for IP Address spoofing there will be an Artificial Intelligence capability to that will do traffic anomaly detection which would also leverage the new ASN Protocol, as well as Artificial Intelligence features for threat detection and prevention.
