This is for cold responsive micro-patterned cell culture devices that enable the mass production of human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) or other pluripotent stem cell colonies of homogeneous size for 3D culture. It also enables the easy detachment of colonies by simply placing the device on ice for ~10-15 minutes. This eliminates the need of chemicals that compromise cell viability and quality for cell detachment and the subsequent 3D culture.
