The mark consists of a stylized shield shape comprised of an inner blue shield with white background trimmed with green with a green-gray perimeter. In gray capital letters across the upper portion of the blue shield is the word "UTICA" and in blue capital letters in a white diagonal is the word "COMETS". A sweeping blue curved shape with gray outline crosses the midpoint of entire shield overlapping the left and right outside edges. On the right side of the shield is a blue disk shape with an olive gray oval shape surrounded by a gray curved line (i.e. a 3-D hockey puck). The blue disk shape and gray edge overlaps the green and gray perimeter. Attached to the left of the blue disk curving across the midpoint of the entire blue shield is a jagged gray lightning bolt shape backed by a white jagged flame shaped tail outlined in blue with a gray perimeter (i.e. meteor tail following 3-D hockey puck).
