If I stop using my mark, will it be cancelled?

Yes. The basis of any trademark registration is the fact that the trademark is being used in interstate commerce. If you suspend your business and are no longer using the trademark on the goods or services for which the trademark issued, then your registration may possibly be cancelled. To maintain trademark rights in your registration, all registered mark owners must file a declaration of continued use on a date that falls on or between the fifth (5th) and sixth (6th) anniversaries of the registration, informing the USPTO that the owner has been using the mark for the last five years. Failure to file a declaration of continued use will result in cancellation of the registration.
