(1) Computer software for: (1) managing information, specifically the data of the curricula vitae of individuals in universities, institutes, professional associations and other types of organizations that employ professionals or have a user membership composed of professionals; (2) creating webpages, specifically the web profiles of individuals, groups, project, research themes, and academic units; and (3) collecting and visualizing the social interactions between users. The information management aspect of the software is used to maintain academic curricula vitae, and the web profiles of users, groups and projects. The collaboration aspect of the software is used to represent entities, namely users, students, partners, groups, projects, and their mutual connections. The software can be used to search and display information about the entities represented in the system. The software is composed of tools to: (a) retrieve information from available data sources to create and update the profiles and curricula vitae of users; (b) identify connections between the entities by comparing their information; (c) automatically group the entities that have similar information; (d) create graphical visualizations that represent connections between the entities; and (e) provide collaboration tools, namely document editing and sharing, user messaging, and video conferencing.
