Restore Your Feet is a mobile foot health practice that caters to a local community in Essex and Suffolk, seeing to general foot care. It gives patients the time and space to explore and restore their feet with a qualified foot health practitioner. Treatments consist of nail cutting and thinning, callous and corn removal, treatment of fungal nail infections, toenail reconstruction and correction, treatment of verrucae, foot manipulation and massage, padding and simple orthotic device fitment and advice, footwear assessments, diabetes reviews, vascular/neurological and MSK assessments of the foot and lower limb, dynamic/visual gait analysis and general foot care and advice, amongst others. The practice is carried out by foot health practitioner Aby MCFH, who trained with the University of Brighton on the MSc (pre-reg) Podiatry programme class of 2024 and previously trained in Contemporary Dance with Leeds Metropolitan University, graduating 2014. She is a registered member of the College of Foot Health. Her special interest areas are the dancer’s foot, runner’s footwear, geriatric patients and lymphoedema. Her experience spans various health conditions and foot pathologies from two and half years of practice and theory, within both the NHS and private Podiatry sector, and previous years as a carer throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. The purposes of Restore Your Feet are: to provide excellent foot health education and treatment to a local community, to encourage and inspire patients to monitor and take care of their own feet and promote independence, to provide foot health services to a variety of ages, to include dancers of all levels, and to encourage good choices of footwear, specifically geriatric patients and young women aged 15-25. The mission and values of Restore Your Feet are: to strive for excellent foot health. A holistic approach is used in consultation with patients; an open and non-judgmental space is created for investigation, discussion, understanding and therapeutic outcomes. This practitioner supports 'shared-decision-making principles.'
