Develop guidelines and/or Canadian standards to achieve uniformity in the development and implementation of prevention, preparedness and response programs relating to major industrial accidents involving hazardous substances in Canada; hold conferences for the exchange of information of hazardous substances and to promote continuous improvement in the prevention of, preparedness for, and response to major industrial accidents involving hazardous substances; hold workshops on the prevention of, preparedness for, and response to major industrial accidents involving hazardous substances.
