1456783 26 Oct 2009 | on 08 Nov 2010 | Class 035 Class 035 Advertising, Business & Retail Services Serving as a forum for the collection, exchange and dissemination of information related to telehealth through education symposiums and conferences, hosting documents and discussion forums via applicants website, and the work of committees and special interest groups; working, cooperating, liaising with other organizations, institutions, governments, governmental organizations, individuals, societies and corporations involved or concerned with the development and implementation of telehealth activities, health care and health care services and to encourage cooperation among them through formal collaboration agreements and joint projects with the American Telemedicine Association, the Canadian Society for International Health and COACH- Canadas Health informatics Association, working with professional associations such as the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, the Canadian Medical Association and the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health to promote the use of technology to improve access to quality care, participating in providing subject matter experts for Canada Health Infoway and developing a white paper for Infoway on the Future of Telehealth to help guide the future investment strategy; assisting in the education of individuals, organizations, corporations and society with respect to telehealth through hosting an annual conference that includes expert keynote guest lecturers, topical workshops, interactive plenary presentations with industry experts, facilitated breakfast learning sessions and oral and poster presentations, hosting interactive webinars for applicants members; promoting the advancement of telehealth opportunities, technologies and their application for the benefit of Canadians and others and promoting and encouraging the use of telecommunications and related technologies in the delivery of health care and health education through contributing articles to industry journals, drafting and disseminating position papers on areas that are currently inhibiting the adoption of Telehealth, such as Physician Licensure (cross boarder), writing letters to political and regulatory bodies and hosting a job posting service; encouraging telehealth research through having an active research committee, encouraging abstracts be submitted for presentation at conferences organized by the applicant, supporting research through online and other forms of surveys, hosting research documents on applicants website, providing input to the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health with respect to research areas, evaluating presentations at the conferences and publically recognizing the best research papers, conducting research and drafting white papers and position statements.
