The words Advantage Series of Food Safety Programs set a standard in the agri-food industry for agriculture/food processing from a farm through to processing, indicating that facilities that have been certified or who have met the standards under Advantage Series of Food Safety Programs based on a) industry's best practices for agriculture/food processing; b) internationally recognized Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point ("HACCP") protocol; c) consideration of federal, provincial and local regulations for food producers/processors; d) ensuring that agricultural/food processing standards are maintained and monitored on an ongoing basis; and e) ensuring that food producers/processors use proven and accepted methods based on the Advantage Series of Food Safety Programs to help reduce food safety hazards and to help train employees with respect to good agricultural/food processing practices.
