This system is iBOS (Infrastructure Budget Optimization System). iBOS brings a business approach to managing public sector infrastructure. It is founded on the principles and practices of modern asset management. iBOS determines current and future needs based upon present and predicted conditions. The system ensures optimized budgets and maintenance and rehabilitation programs. iBOS consits of the following six points: (1) Training; (2) Business Process Review and Design; (3) iBOS Software Tools; (4) Implementation; (5) Software Development; and (6) Support. Point (4), iBOS Software Tools, consists of the Asset Register, the Data Viewer, the Performance Prediction Technology-Strategic (PPT-Strategic), the Performance Prediction Technology-Tactical (PPT-Tactical), and the Maintenance Management System (MMS).
