AppFlix is a distributed operating system that runs applications across multiple servers. AppFlix provides users the ability to launch their applications through a single platform that's safer and faster than using them on devices and/or in the cloud. The operating systems, applications, web services, and microservices reside in and are processed at micro data centers, not on the device, thus enhancing performance and reliability, since more resources are available for computing, freeing device storage, and battery life. The compute and graphics processing for applications, web services, tools, and workflows occurs inside the same architecture where data is stored. The solution is deployed in containers instead of virtual machines and is device and operating system agnostic. AppFlix enables access to all of the user's applications on one platform via the app (on any device and/or operating system), or a web browser. It can leverage devices to integrate with a distributed processing capability out of any location. Users can customize AppFlix and upload one or more interconnected apps along with the apps' associated workflows, plugins, tools, and web services. Applications can be uploaded in either virtual machines or containers.
